Chapter 4: The Cheat
Creeeek, went the door. Adam was jolted from his thoughts, and he looked up to see his brother Zach walk in. What could Zach want in the janitor's closet? Then he saw why he was there. As Zach came in, a girl followed, giggling like a mad woman. And that girl was Gabriella, Nadine's sister.
And as a special treat, I'm going to rant about something! Today's topic: technology. Ah yes, technology. Don't get me wrong, I love technology; it's done some great things for humanity (did you hear Stanford has invented fake skin that can sense touch?). But when comes a pro, comes a con. Kids these days are glued to their devices and it's pretty disappointing. I'm not just talking about middle-schoolers either- my little brother is six and he lives for my dad's IPad. It saddens me to see younger generations sitting and rotting their brains in front of screens for hours on end. When I was younger, the extent of my technology was a VHS tape and a TV from like 1997. Parents, I understand that technology keeps them quiet, but sometimes putting in that extra effort to get your kids playing can pay off immensely in the future. I am guilty of being glued to my phone, but I always have time to put it down fro the joys of a good book (currently reading The Death Cure, the third book in the Maze Runner series). I earnestly hope that future generations will learn that everything should come in moderation!
Kayla I think this was a great blog. I agree with you 100%, people need to enjoy eachothers company and stop being glued to their phones and I honestly loved your blog. Great job :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Nikki, you made my day!
DeleteSee, thats why I have books downloaded on to my devices, that way I never have to take my eyes off of the screen. Efficiency is vital for survival.
