(I must apologize in advance for this post being late.) AHHHHH I CAN LITERALLY NOT EXPRESS MY EXCITEMENT! On April 13, the Golden State Warriors made NBA history by achieving a total of 73 wins and 9 losses in their 2015-16 season. They have now broken the previous record of 72 wins and 10 losses, which was set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls. May I mention that at the time this record was set, Michael Jordan was on the Bulls. WE BROKE A RECORD SET BY MICHAEL JORDAN!! (Again, I apologize if I yell in this post a lot. I'm just really passionate about the Warriors.) Not many teams can say that they have broken a record set by an absolute legend.
And I will now recap the historic game. The Warriors played the Memphis Grizzlies at home (the Oracle Arena) and the crowd was packed full of Warriors fans. In fact, as I watched the game, I didn't notice a single Grizzly fan in the audience. The Warriors began the game with a decent lead, the sore being 37-23. By the end of the second quarter, the score had climbed to 60-50, with the Warriors staying in the lead. The odds were looking good for the Warriors, with a score of 92-81 closing out the third quarter. In the final quarter, the pressure was on to make history, and it all payed off in the end as we closed the game off with 125-104, making it our final win of the regular season. I've never been prouder of my babies then on that night.
Today, the Warriors face off against the Houston Rockets at 7:30 at home (which gives them a better chance of winning.) And I would like to announce that PLAYOFF SEASON HAS BEGUN!!!
