As for leggings, apparently the ban is because boys will be attracted to our butts? How about instead of teaching us girls to cover ourselves, teach the boys were they should look. Leggings are the most comfortable pants to ever exsist, and if we could wear them to school hot days would be 100 times more bearable. And in California, all days are hot. For all the guys out there who want to know what leggings are like, imagine your legs still being warm but having that l "wearing no pants" feeling.
So to all the schools out there, please rethink and revise your dress code. I will try to blog on Saturday, as it is my birthday!! See you guys until then, bye!
I totally agree with all your statements here. One thing I would like to mention is that some boys just won't control themselves. If you are walking outside with clothes that either highlight or reveal your curves there is a high chance that people will look. So to not allow that type of clothing is slightly understandable but still is unfair for all girls. Oh yeah, whats up with shoulders. Ive never heard of a little adolescent teen being greatly attracted to a girls shoulders. What in the world is this. Does it mean that they have fallen in love with some teachers because they have revealed their shoulders? Obviously not. That concludes my side rant. Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteI have actually talked to my mother about this issue and can weigh in from a semi-professional standpoint. It isn't about how sexual shoulders are, its a matter of attire. School is a professional environment, and that is why many schools use a uniform. It is an easy way of maintaining a professional environment. If you had a job, you wouldn't go into the office with leggings and a revealing shirt on would you? This sounded more professional than I intended, have a happy belated birthday!
